Bedroom Idea 3: Full along the wall or window + big built-in

3. Full by the window, storage along the cricked wall. A broom closet in the crick, storage shelves and sliding doors along the wall.

- Traditional, reasonable, less convertable, no desk. It also makes sense.

Version 1: By the window.

Version 2: By the wall.

Bedroom Idea 2: Full that partially slides under a built-in

Use the full, make it slide under the built-in partly and make a thing to stuff blankets and pillows into so it becomes more of a sitting space socially. Try to get a small desk in beside it.

- Cool also. More crowded and I'd have to step on the bed to get at stuff in the storage. Cuts down on storage space though I could use some under the bed. Potential but the bed is now fixed in one location come steamy hot NYC summer.

Welcome to Turi Lives! My home project blog.

Well - I'm entering the home customization stage of life and starting with the bedroom. I'd REALLY really like your input and thoughts on what I might do.

Step 1: The Bedroom

The bedroom is small, with a window over the baseboard heater, both beside a tiny closet. The back wall has an odd crick which makes arranging the space a challenge.

Questions
=============

I want a full bed and storage space for my clothes. Ideally, a chair and a small desk would be great too - or at least space to store bills and personal admin things so they don't need to live in the main area.

If all were as I'd wish, the bed would convert into some kind of sofa and the room would be a social space when I entertain.

For a bed, I love a comfortable, firm one... I want one of the tempurpedic ones - yummy to melt into it - and - they don't come in sleep sofa versions.

Issues
==============

So far the closet is super tiny and only hold some hanging things, a laundry hamper, and a door mounted shoe rack. It has two high shelves where I have an extra laptop bag, towels, some bedding, and additional bathroom supplies.

Advice?

Thanks!
